Practice-Based Exams
The exams have been completely revisited to better test users' skills and competencies on CATIA by introducing practice-based scenarios which reflect real life design problems. They are available on a new online platform that runs concurrently with CATIA.

The first level exams are intended to test users on the fundamental modeling techniques using CATIA Mechanical Design core products: Part Design, Assembly Design, Surface Design and Drafting.

These exams are available on CATIA V5 (R19 and higher) and V6R2013X, in multiple languages: Simplified Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazilian) and Spanish.

Taking an Exam

Exams are delivered online in a proctored environment at one of Dassault Systèmes Authorized Certification Centers.

Certification Titles

Each individual exam gives a certificate entitled 'Associate'.

When you pass with success two exams you receive a certificate entitled 'Specialist':

  • 'CATIA Mechanical Designer Specialist' = CATIA Part Design + CATIA Assembly Design exams
  • 'CATIA Mechanical Surface Designer Specialist' = CATIA Part Design + CATIA Surface Design exams

Validating your Certification

When you successfully pass an exam a electronic certificate is automatically generated by the tester and stored in your user account.

Electronic certificates are secured. they show a unique identifier and a QR code that allows you to authenticate your certification online.

In addition to the electronic certificate, you also receive a label that you can use to promote your certification. This label is stored in your account together with your certificate. Login to your account
