It includes a study lead by Jean Louis BIAGGI (general manager of the PLMCC) and Stéphan ASTIER (Project’s leader) and performed by Le Chi Hieu (Master Energy) in collaboration with the USTH and SUPMECA Paris engineering school.
The studies already performed deal with taking an inventory of the typical Vietnamese boats and comparing the climate differences between the north and south of Vietnam. This enabled the team to write precise specifications for a traditional vietnamese boat equiped with PV panels and to define the energy conversion chain relating to this boat. The CAD design, stress analysis and assembly on CATIA V6 are currently in progress and performed in a collaborative way between the PLMCC and SUPMECA.
